I live up on the Mendocino coast, and during a visit to the Danville area I randomly came across The Luminous Pearl — and I’m honestly glad I did. This place is a hidden gem. The spa is spotless, comfortable, and has a calm energy the moment you walk in. I’ve had a few injuries over the years (I work in a physically demanding job), and the therapists here have been incredible. Monica helped restore mobility in my back and shoulder after an old injury, and later, after hamstring surgery, Lucy’s work made a huge difference in my recovery and comfort. Most recently, I treated myself to a deep-tissue session with Mandy. She is fantastic — strong, skilled, and genuinely caring. Every visit has been consistently great. I’ve now driven back down four times, and it’s always worth the trip from Mendocino. Showed up late on a Friday and in walks Asia who appears slim and attractive. After the 5 minutes of massaging she asked what I want and you know the drill......let's just say she looked better in clothes unless you like your women unshaven besides the fact that her butt was dumpy and out of shape. Showed up around 8PM on a Friday night when I got there it was not busy but 2 guys came in after me and Lucy was the only girl working. Started with a standard massage using some lotion was not to bad after a while she took her top off and did some body to body which was nice. Excused her self to get a hot towel after the wipe off she had me flip and the fun began. I texted ahead to see who was available and decided to book with Lucy. She greeted me warmly when I arrived and immediately struck me as friendly and confident. Land is a small spa, but clean and well laid out. They have a shower, but I don't know if that's available for client use. Lucy met me at the door and showed me to a quiet room. The walls are pretty thin, but it wasn't a busy afternoon, so I seldom heard anyone outside other than a male voice of another worker there. They had their "legal rules" sign on the wall and although Lucy was dressed in tights and a mid-riff baring t-shirt, it wasn't clear if this was just legit only. Lucy isn't a spinner, but has a nicely rounded fit body and nice face that made me think she was probably a really cute teeny-bopper 20 years ago. The padded massage table was nicely heated and her massage included warm coconut oil and hot stones, so it was quite relaxing on a cool day. She is pretty short and climbed on the table a few times to get to all my body. She covered every area of my backside, but there was no indication of any extras until the covering sheet was removed completely as she worked on my legs. She didn't have any special techniques and her strokes would get repetitive at some points, but it was soothing and relaxing. After a hot-towel wipe down, it was time to flip and the towel wasn't replaced. She assumed what I wanted while faceup and went right for it. She was slow and soothing as she covered that area with the coconut oil and stroked me and allowed some respectful OTC MT as we both enjoyed the next few minutes until I couldn't hold back. She cleaned me up and continued with a nice head/face massage, then arms and legs, skipping my chest area and feet, but that was okay. She gave the full hour to the session. I'll be back.

With lockdown over, thought it was time to revisit...
With lockdown over, thought it was time to revisit Island. Much to my surprise, the rate for 60 Minutes has doubled from $20 to $40. Sprung for the new rate. Was placed in the dark Grotto Room. Lost shirt and sat on the futon for the hot water foot soak while enjoying a nice neck and back massage. The it was time to go face down on the massage bed for more work on the back and legs. Lucy would ask every now and then how the pressure was, and she was meeting my request for light pressure. Finally time to flip up to be covered by a towel for warmth for some arm work before the foot massage main event which was quite relaxing. Not as great of a deal as when it was $20, but still not too bad at $40. I will return

Good ambience and used to have hot chicks but not sure post Covid.

For decent sushi try Kan Pai in the Aliso Viejo Town Center.

That is the problem with this place only one provider during the week! So be prepared to be disturbed! Being a new spa only provider till business picks up! Lucy works Monday-Thursday, Mary Friday - Sunday, both are good for a bbj and cfs,! Mary has the better body and Lucy is more enthusiastic in MHO! YMMV

Be aware that LE has been making the rounds at all of the stores around town. Most of the girls have reported to me that 3 to 4 LE officers in uniform have made surprise visits at their stores for un-announced code compliance checks. LE was taking notes when asking the girls questions and required the girls to show their ID\'s and licenses to them. LE has been inspecting the rooms and going through the inside of the stores. Some of the store owners told me they called a few of the other owners to alert them after LE showed up. Some stores were checked by LE in the evening. If you happen to be inside of the room with the girl when LE arrives now all of you know what to expect. Watch this space for more updates.

@jokerca dude, this isn\'t priceline, this is amp hunting in the OC. It\'s not HX either. The economy is a lot better than it was 18 months ago and it\'s tougher to get the deals you could get when times were tougher. i don\'t disagree, it is what it is, but Lucy\'s pretty, friendly, all natural and has excellent technique. i\'m ok with the $100 tip here.

Why do people do research after they go to these places--research is to be done before and if there are a lot of reviews that are not productive--guess what--they aren\'t a productive place! Everyone thinks that they\'re the stud that will lead the philly out of the barn?? Let these places strike out for six months and then consider a try. Also if they are unproductive--the best rating should be 1*. Sorry about the rant but it is sickening to keep reading reviews where people strike out after there are a page of reviews before them with the same results.

Lucy is the worst provider I have ever had in my life.
I do not know why they hired her here. I have seen her working at 7 different Chinese incalls and massage parlors. She believe she is better than ever one. Are you sure it was at Bernardo Massage and not the one down the street near Big 5 ? At Bernardo massage ( near Brikman yoga) there are peep hole and the girls seem very uptight about the chance of being watched.
