I was conversing with a normal massage therapist the other day and we were talking about my profession...criminal defense attorney. Anyhow, discussion turns to massage parlors. I asked if he had noticed the sudden influx of more parlors in Chicago. He then began to tell me that there was an ordinance proposed a few months ago that was up for vote in city council last week. The ordinance proposed that all "spas" would have to be located in designated area....much like adult bookstores. However, he said, any existing spas would be grandfathered into the ordinance and not be forced to close or move. Anyhow, the ordinance was defeated. But, it might explain the sudden proliferation of locations...unfortunately, I think this may bring more LE activity. As I hear more I will post.
